University Park Apartments is located in what many call the best neighborhood in Berkeley or even the entire East Bay Area. When you walk out the front door of our Building you are within a few blocks of restaurants including: Japanese, Vegetarian Japanese, 4 Thai restaurants, 3 American (Burgers) restaurants, 2 breweries/pubs, Jewish Deli, Italian, Vietnamese, Chinese, French, Natural Rotisserie Chicken, Spanish Tapas, Mexican, Indian, and more. Some of the most famous restaurants are located here: Grocery stores and Drug stores include: Safeway, Andronicos, Elephant Pharmacy, and Long's Pharmacy. There are numerous other Arts, Crafts and Travel Agents, Yoga studios, Massage School, Boutiques, Salons, Coffee Shops (lots!), and more. Public Transportation: There are numerous bus stops right outside our building including a bus that goes to San Francisco. BART is in downtown Berkeley, less than a 10 minute walk away. And this is a very bike friendly town and area. There are not very many hills and the cars are generally respectful of cyclists.
